The Dress
The dress is a Melissa Sweet design and was purchased new from Davids Bridal. It is a cream/ivory color and has 3 layers (the underlining, a thin sheer fabric, and then lace over it all). The lace is a floral pattern. It is floor-length, with a train in the back but shortened in the front so it’s easy to walk in. It has off the shoulder "swag" sleeves and buttons going up the back. The dress has been professionally dry cleaned.
Alterations
All alterations were done by Davids Bridal. The dress was shortened in the front, as I am 5'2" and wore low shoes with the dress, so sized to about a 5'3" height. It is a size 2 and fits true to size, however the waist was taken in just a little bit. A sweetheart neckline was also added, as the original dress was a curved neckline. Bustling was also added for all 3 layers of the dress. The top two layers are intact, however the bustling for the undermost layer (the lining) detached and needs redone.
